One of the major segments of PC Centre is wireless and it is not hard to understand why. Starting with the simple explanation that wireless lets our customers do more with less, we go to the extra efforts to make sure that the design meets the expectation, and that wireless works as intended.
Of particular interest among our customers is the security features that wireless networks offer. This is probably one of the most misunderstood and poorly managed aspects of communications today, and PC Centre offers industry experts to design and implement even the most challenging systems.
Why Wireless?
Wireless LANs enable users to stay connected from virtually anywhere: a desk, a conference room, a coffee shop, or another building on a corporate or academic campus. This gives workers maximum flexibility, productivity, and efficiency, while dramatically boosting collaboration and cooperation with colleagues, business partners, and customers. Wireless LANs can also extend network access to locations where laying cable is too difficult or expensive.
Is it Time to Consider WLAN?
The information and resources available here can help you learn more about WLAN solutions for your company, if you are:
o Retrofitting an existing network
o Adding or expanding a secondary network
o Adding, moving, or changing employees to new locations
o Increasing mobility of part or all of your workforce
o Enhancing network performance
o Expanding business operations
o Upgrading or expanding current wireless hardware or software
o Investing in a cost-effective network
On Location - Site Survey
Although it is possible to perform an offsite paper survey if needed, a wireless survey on premise is much more accurate so we strongly recommend that a Wireless Site Survey at your location be performed. Building construction and construction materials have a great deal to do with signal propagation and the best way to ensure accuracy is for us to bring our experts onsite.
Our wireless engineers will survey your site and perform the following tasks:
1. Measure signal strength between each Access Point and client devices.
2. Test each access point and antenna locations.
3. Evaluate existing network equipment, and provide recommendations for Ethernet connectivity to access points.
4. Evaluate electrical power options for each access point.
5. Check site for RF interference.
6. Recommend best channel selection for access points.
When we perform your site survey, not only do we ensure that you get a technically correct survey, but also the deployed solution will work with type of equipment provided.
PC Centre goes beyond the standard survey services, which in turn ensures a higher success rate for your full deployment.
